At LifeLinks Community School, our goal is to reach 6th – 12th grade students who are not succeeding in the traditional school setting. To do this, we focus on student-centered instruction that is:
Focused on problem-solving
Based on real-world situations and problems
LifeLinks Community School, sponsored by Van Wert City Schools, was formed in 2010 for student in grades 6 – 12. We were created to provide students with an alternative to the traditional classroom … where they can participate in a learning environment that fits their personality and learning style.
We want to improve the outcomes for non-traditional students so they can graduate with a high school diploma and become lifelong learners and productive citizens. Our goal is to prevent students from dropping out and to help others recover their lost high school credits. The program is not directed at any one group of students. Instead, we are trying to reach a variety of 6th – 12th grade students who are not succeeding in the traditional high school setting.
