Wednesday, October 13, 2021 VWCS Thanks Local Partners for New AEDs

Through several grants and generous donations, Van Wert City Schools is pleased to have a total of 33 automated external defibrillators (AEDs) on-site throughout its four campuses.

Van Wert City Schools will be on a scheduled 2 hour delay on Friday, October 22nd as staff will have the opportunity to receive their Covid-19 booster and flu vaccine.

Seth Baker, CEO of The Van Wert County Foundation, is pleased to announce designated grant funds to local school districts from the Richard L. and Nadie O. Klein Memorial Trust.

Wednesday evening, students and educators from Van Wert City Schools gathered at Willow Bend Country Club to honor teachers who had a special impact on students and those who will be retiring this school year.

Van Wert High School seniors will graduate during an in-person commencement ceremony scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, May 23, at Van Wert High School, and, during Wednesday night’s monthly meeting, the Board of Education approved the list of members of the Class of 2021.

Ella Hernandez, Debbie Jones, Alexis Pangle, Gage Stemen, Sarah Verville, Emma Wallace, and Citlali Aguilar-Montiel were all honored for their artwork they created using the YWCA's mission statement.

On Wednesday, seven Van Wert City Schools students were honored at the Van Wert County YWCA for the work they did in creating an art display that encompasses the YWCA mission.
