The CDC has advised that the quarantine period with exposure to a positive COVID-19 person can be changed from 14 days to 10 days. Van Wert City Schools have worked with the Ohio Department of Health and the local Van Wert County Health department to adopt these same rules starting today, Tuesday, December 8th, 2020.

Any person under quarantine before today will remain at 14 days and they will follow their current orders.  Under the new rules, any person who still feels sick or has any symptoms after 10 days should remain at home.

For more information on COVID-19, please visit coronavirus.ohio.gov or call the Van Wert County Health Department at 419-238-0808 ext. 115 or 102.

Thank you for your continued commitment to keep our community safe and healthy!

Sincerely,

Kathy Will                                       Mark Bagley
