    Starting Monday, March 30th, 2020, we will begin providing our Grab and Go service two days a week from 10:45 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. All school meals will be distributed on Monday (for Monday and Tuesday's meals) and Wednesday (for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday's meals). If interested, please click here for the pre-order form. This order form (to be filled out once per household) may be filled out at any time, and responses will be reviewed daily.

VWCS Coronavirus Update March 12, 2020

Van Wert City Schools has cancelled all school-related events beginning Monday, March 16 through Friday, April 3 due to the order announced by Governor Mike DeWine on Thursday, March 12. VWCS will remain open for normal classes on Friday, March 13.

 

In a press conference today, Governor DeWine announced an order to close all K-12 schools throughout the state of Ohio for three weeks, at least through April 3.

 

Van Wert City Schools’ spring break was already scheduled for March 16-20. VWCS will remain closed until April 3 and will announce its plan for distance-learning by the end of the day on Friday, March 20.

 

VWCS will continue to work closely with the Van Wert Health Department, who is in contact with the Ohio Department of Health and the CDC, as we monitor the development of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Updates will be posted on the VWCS website, Facebook and Twitter pages.
