2025 Optimist Club Oratorical Contest Winners Announced

The Van Wert Optimist Club's annual oratorical contest was held on March 5th, addressing "How Optimism Has Guided Me Through Trying Times." This year's winners included Ben Verville, from Van Wert High School, and Jessica Faller and Nora Linton, from Lincolnview Jr. High. The top three contestants spoke at the Optimist Club meeting on Wednesday and were awarded $300 for first place, $200 for second place, and $100 for third place. Theo Anderson, Josilyn Neiberg, Bella Mosier, Dimitri Linser, and Quinn Kiracofe from Lincolnview Jr. High also competed.
